Free high resolution photo of US pennies. US pennies are officially called cents, and are coins worth one cent. Pennies are used as currency in most English speaking countries. The American penny was originally made from pure copper, but most modern coins are made from brass or some other combination of copper and zinc. Coins minted before 1983 had a large percentage of copper in them, but more modern coins are made mostly from zinc. This picture shows a variety of coins some with the heads side up and others showing tails. All are Lincoln pennies.

This picture would make a great background for a web page or blog, desktop wallpaper or texture for Photoshop. It is free for any use.
