Free high resolution close up photo of American pennies. This close up picture shows US Lincoln pennies some heads and some tails. You can even see some dust on the surfaces of the coins. US pennies are officially called cents, and are coins worth one cent. Pennies are used as currency in most English speaking countries. The American penny was originally made from pure copper, but most modern coins are made from brass or some other combination of copper and zinc. Coins minted before 1983 had a large percentage of copper in them, but more modern coins are made mostly from zinc.

This picture would make a great background for a web page or blog, desktop wallpaper or texture for Photoshop. It is free for any use.
