Free high resolution photo of an empty river bed with no water in it. This picture shows the South Platte River just north of the city of Denver. This is an area where the water is regularly diverted for some sort of industrial use, so the fact that the river bed looks dry is not entirely due to drought, though this was taken during a very dry year. You can see ripples in the mud and some geese and ducks swimming in and around what few puddles are left. In the distance you can see the city of Denver. Free image for any use.
